Dr. Budden has always been drawn to the diversity of animals around him and became interested in the veterinary field early in life. He grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and went to college at the University of Illinois where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences in 2014. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine with his veterinary degree in 2018. From there he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he worked at a large, general practice/emergency clinic as a small animal general practitioner. He decided he couldn’t take the desert heat any longer and moved to Portland. Dr. Budden has a variety of professional interests that include ultrasound, internal medicine, behavior, neurology and nutrition to name a few. He has a 16 year old cat named Lance. Outside of work you can find Dr. Budden outside enjoying nature, rock climbing, reading, or cooking a new recipe. Dr. Budden is excited to join the community and meet all of your beautiful pets!
